Featuring works by Onur Gülfidan, Gözde İlkin, CANAN, Banu Birecikligil, Eymen Aktel, Cansu Çakar, Merve Çanakçı and Serkan Demir, .artSümer’s summer exhibition coheres around the concept of a summer garden. This garden contains two sides of the same coin, presenting itself as both a utopia and a dystopia. The exhibition puts into question the pleasure, joy, and peace that often accompanies the image of a lush garden, while also hinting towards the less than ideal, and often disappointing and sobering, aspects of this same image.
