Founded by Aslı Sümer in 2005, .artSümer has positioned itself as a dynamic space for contemporary art that discusses present-day issues through a universal language and a unique approach, fostering meaningful connections between artists and audiences.
The gallery’s roster includes local and international artists who work across a wide array of media representative of contemporary artistic expression. The artists’ practices reflect contemporary developments in art, and they are as varied as painting, drawing, installation, photography, video, and new media, often putting diverse disciplines into dialogue with one another. Although different in form, they all fundamentally share a similarly poetic, thought-provoking, and playful outlook which collectively contributes to the distinct conceptual integrity of .artSümer.
In addition to organizing regular exhibitions for its represented artists, .artSümer places significant value on making space for independent and up-and-coming artists who are not formally represented by a gallery and whose work aligns with the distinctive vision of .artSümer.

Transportation
If driving, parking is available at Piyalepaşa İstanbul.
If using public transportation, there are two shuttle services that travel from central locations in İstanbul to .artSümer's Piyalepaşa location free of charge.
The Piyalepaşa Shuttle departs from Taksim (across the street from Divan Hotel) and stops at Osmanbey (on the corner of Ramada Hotel) at set times throughout the day.
The Piyalepaşa-Taksim Ring Shuttle departs from Piyalepaşa at regular intervals throughout the day, stopping at Pangaltı Osmanbey, Taksim (across the street from Divan Hotel), Şişhane, and Kasımpaşa, before making its way back to Piyalepaşa.
